Olay Mitchell was transported to the Elk Regional Health Center for treatment of injuries. He wasn’t wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.
He was traveling westbound on Mount Zion Road and negotiating a left-hand curve. His vehicle traveled off the north berm and impacted a tree.
Olay Mitchell will be cited for driving vehicle at a safe speed.
State police were assisted at the scene by the Jay Township Fire Department and both Bennetts Valley and St. Marys ambulance.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
