Donald A. Good, 66 of West Decatur died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 at his home.
He was the son of the late Alfred and Velma (Baughman) Good born Aug. 21, 1946 in Decatur Township (New Castle). He married Donna M. (Wise) Good on Aug.21, 1968 in Philipsburg.
Mr. Good was of Christian faith.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He also served in the U.S. National Guard until retiring after 34 years of service.
He was a member of the American Legion in Philipsburg and a graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola High School in the class of 1964.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred Good Jr. and Duane Good.
Along with his wife, he is survived by three sons, Bradley E. Good and Alan W. Good and his wife, Debbie, all of West Decatur and Shawn L. Good and his wife, Lari of (Sanborn) RD Houtzdale.
Also surviving are one sister, Kathryn E. Couturiaux and her husband, Patrick of Philipsburg: one brother, Robert L Good of Brockway; five grandchildren, Lisa Yingling, Ashley, Olivia, Karly and Carsyn Good; and one great-grandchild, Tierknee Yingling.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, with Pastor Donald Smith officiating. Burial will be at the Baughman Cemetery, (Sanborn) RD Houtzdale.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Moshannon Valley Independent Honor Guard.
