Janice L. Homman, 77, of Clearfield died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 at the Clearfield Hospital.
She was born March 3, 1935 in Lecontes Mills, a daughter of the late Elmer and Edith (Shirey) Leigey.
Mrs. Homman was a homemaker who enjoyed the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived two daughters, Cathy Jo Sones and her husband, Dale of Clearfield and Suzette Marie Rack and her husband, Michael of Florida; four grandchildren, Shane Sones and his wife, Christina, Trevor Sones, Angela Foster and her husband, Sean and Adam Rack; and two sisters, Bernice Condon of Clearfield and Leona Wooster of Arkansas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Homman on Sept. 14, 2006 and whom she wed Dec. 26, 1953 in Clearfield; five sisters, Mabel Smith, Elma Picard, Pauline Dinsmore, Joann Sankey and Jacquline Dinsmore; six brothers, Raymond, Elwood, Richard, Ronald, Elmer Jr. and Milton Leigey; twin infant sisters; and an infant brother.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with the Rev. Kenneth J. Leonard officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 26 S. Second St., Clearfield.
