The Last Word

Rusty:  “Clearfield will wear down Tyrone in a tough game. Curwensville gets easy win over Ridgway. Mo Valley will best Glendale, and West Branch will find No. Bedford too strong. The rest of the games come down to defense…Texas has a ton of points on the season, but OK will shut them down…the Chargers haven’t beaten a quality team yet and Denver has played good defense so far. Should be some good games, but defense wins the close ones.”

Dustin: “Tough picks this week for the NFL, but I’m impressed and surprised by the Texans. Quietly, but strongly, they are undefeated and continue to roll on this week against Green Bay. I can’t go against the Ravens at home against Dallas either. Others, honestly were a toss-up. Red River Shootout will be a good game again, and I’m looking to see Notre Dame keep on rolling against Stanford. Won’t be an upset if they pull off the victory this time.”

Chris:  “No Steelers, No Nittany Lions, so I like Clearfield to continue its winning ways. As much as it pains me to admit, Notre Dame is putting together a special season in South Bend. As far as the pros are concerned, the Steelers need help from the Cowboys, but won’t get it. Look for Baltimore to crush Tony Romo and the Cowboys.”

Dave: “Wish I could by in Tyrone Friday – that game should be a classic! Penn State has a bye, but there are some fantastic college matchups – I like Stanford to upset the possibly overconfident Irish. Cowboys-Ravens…can we root for a tie?? I like the Lions off a bye week, especially with Michael Vick’s turnover problems, and the Packers have to win SOMETIME don’t they?”

Jay: “Clearfield-Tyrone could be a good one, but I’m picking the Bison to run the regular season table now. Curwensville will take out their frustration from last week on Ridgway. Rivalry game with Glendale and Mo Valley will go the Black Knights’ way. West Branch running into an undefeated No. Bedford team will be a bit much for them. Just flipped a coin for the Red River Rivalry and playing a hunch that South Carolina can win a night game in Baton Rouge – not an easy task! NFL – just pick all the home teams and hope for the best.”
