Erin Wills, youth services coordinator at Shaw Public Library, local author Mary Beth Bamat and other guest readers will entertain children with fall stories at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. at the Shaw Public Library’s Fall Festival booth in downtown Clearfield. Each session will feature a unique story and accompanying activity.
In addition to the storytelling, Shaw Public Library representatives will be sharing information about various services and programs offered to the community. Anyone interested in learning more about all the events happening at their local public library is encouraged to stop in and talk with library staff during the festival.
Shaw Public Library will also have giveaways during the festival. Any youth who visits the library’s booth with a voucher will receive a copy of a past selection of a Pennsylvania One Book. Vouchers are available at Shaw Public Library beginning Monday, Oct. 8. Books are available while supplies last. Additionally, children and adults who stop by the display may register to win a door prize.
“We are excited to be participating in the CRC Fall Festival with a booth this year and hope that community members will stop by and learn about the services and programs provided to the community,” said Paula Collins, library director.
