Touch-A-Truck Day Set for Saturday

DUBOIS – Touch-A-Truck Day is returning from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday at the DuBois Mall parking lot near the Hampton Inn.

Children of all ages are welcome to attend this free event. However, an adult must be present to accompany children as they enter the roped-off area for this “kid-citing and fun time.”

Although the event is free to the public, children are being asked to bring a canned food item for the DuBois Area Food Bank. The purpose is to encourage children to help feed other children.

There will be a display of “trucks” and special vehicles of all kinds for everyone to explore, sit behind the wheel, honk the horn and pretend to drive. It’s an opportunity to be ‘up close and personal’ with the vehicles they see every day. This event is sure to be enjoyed by all who attend.

Come and see the police and fire department vehicles, huge tri-axle trucks, skid-steer, cement truck, ice cream truck, tractor trailers, the Rolling Radio, ambulance, 12-ton satellite truck, new garbage truck, side-by-side, all-terrain vehicles and more.

The event is sponsored by the Greater DuBois Chamber of Commerce, Glenn O. Hawbaker and the DuBois Kiwanis Club who urge everyone to attend and support the many businesses and companies taking their time to support the community. Anyone who wants to participate with a vehicle or with other questions, please call the Greater DuBois Chamber of Commerce at 814-371-5010.
