McGloin voted Ironman of the Game for Temple performance

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — After an exceptional performance Saturday vs. Temple, senior quarterback Matt McGloin (Scranton, Pa.) has been named this week’s Iron Workers Local Union No. 3 "Ironman of the Game." McGloin received the honor after garnering the most fan votes of the four nominees this week.

McGloin turned in a career performance on Saturday in Penn State’s victory over Temple. In addition to a career-best 318 passing yards, McGloin had a hand in all three of Penn State’s touchdowns. He threw a 41-yard TD pass to Allen Robinson, and he rushed for two more. McGloin now has 11 total touchdowns in 2012.

This year’s "Ironman of the Game" winners have included Allen Robinson (Southfield, Mich.) for the Ohio game, Michael Mauti (Mandeville, La.) for the Virginia game and Michael Zordich (Youngstown, Ohio) for the Navy game.
