PA Lumber Museum to Host 31st Fall Antique and Collectible Show

The Pennsylvania Lumber Museum Associates will host its 31st annual Fall Antique and Collectible Show Saturday, Oct. 6 and Sunday, Oct. 7 at the Pennsylvania Lumber Museum. The show will be open from 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. each day.

Admission is $4.50 for adults, $3 for youth ages 3 to 11 years. Re-entry is free. Admission is free if you’re a member. Memberships are available at the door.

There will be dealers from New Hampshire, New York and Pennsylvania that will present a selection of antiques and collectibles.

In addition to the ongoing annual silent auction, a rare, hard bound copy of the full, 14-book set of Taber, Casler and Kline Logging Railroad Series Books, has been added for the show.  These rare books contain hundreds of period photos, interviews with loggers and railroad men, and much more about the logging railroad days in northern Pennsylvania.

The new Birch Still will be demonstrated on both days. Volunteers will be present to explain how the still works and to share the history of Birch Stills and the uses of Birch Oil.

The Wood on Glass Exhibit of 19th Century lumbering scene photos by William T. Clarke are on display in the visitor’s center. Many of the photos were taken in Potter, McKean, and Tioga counties.

The museum is located on Route 6, near mile marker 188, 10 miles west of Galeton and 10 miles east of Coudersport across the road from Denton Hill Ski Area.
