THIS WEEK
Penn State plays its final non-conference game of the season, welcoming in-state rival Temple. The Nittany Lions and Owls are meeting for the 42nd time overall and seventh consecutive season. The Penn State-Temple game is an all-stadium Blue Out, with all fans encouraged to wear blue in support of PCAR and the victims of child sexual abuse. Fans will have an opportunity to make a contribution to PCAR at the Beaver Stadium gates on Saturday. The public gates will open at 2:00 p.m. for the 3:30 p.m. kickoff.

More than 50 members of Penn State’s 1982 National Championship team are expected to be in attendance and will be introduced at halftime as they hold a 30-year reunion this weekend. The contest also is All-University Day, with students from Penn State’s Commonwealth campuses in attendance.

The Nittany Lions are coming off a strong 34-7 victory over Navy for Coach Bill O’Brien’s first career victory. Temple has not played since a 36-27 loss to Maryland on Sept. 8. The Penn State-Temple game will be nationally televised on ABC or ESPN2 (outside ABC regional coverage area).
