- A missing juvenile was reported to police Monday at which time her parents advised that she was with two other friends in a stolen vehicle. Her parents told police she had sent them a text message, alerting that she was being held against her will. Police learned she was in the Altoona area and she was located with assistance from the Altoona Police Department. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- Police were dispatched for a reported male who was attempting to break the windows of a local business with a hammer Tuesday in the 200 block of West Washington Avenue. Upon arrival, police observed that the male had not only broken the windows, but also cut the communication wires to the building in his attempt to gain entry to the business. The male was apprehended for attempted burglary and placed in the Clearfield County Jail in lieu of bail.
- A hit-and-run accident occurred Tuesday at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Liberty Boulevard. Upon arrival, police were advised that someone who was operating a white pick-up truck was driving erratically on Railroad Avenue. It slammed into the rear of a vehicle that was stopped for traffic and then its operator fled the scene. The accident remains under investigation at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
