JAY TOWNSHIP – No injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident at 6:30 a.m. Sunday on Calendonia Road in Jay Township, the Ridgway-based state police reported.
Samantha M. Gustafson, 18, of Benezette was traveling southbound when she fell asleep. Her vehicle crossed the roadway and struck a tree before continuing to travel southeast. It came to a rest in a field.
Gustafson was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident. She wasn’t injured. She was cited for careless driving.
