Robinson voted Ironman of the Game for season opener

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State sophomore receiver Allen Robinson (Orchard Lake, Mich.) was voted the Iron Workers Local Union No. 3 "Ironman of the Game" for his performance against Ohio in the season opener. Robinson claimed the honor by receiving the most fan votes of the four nominees this week.

In the first game of the 2012 season, Robinson tripled his receptions total from all of last year. The sophomore wide out caught a career-high nine passes for 97 yards to lead all Big Ten receivers. It marked the most receptions by a Penn State receiver since Derrick Williams had 10 in 2007 against Purdue.

Fans can visit GoPSUsports.com/ironman from noon each Monday to noon on Tuesday to cast their vote for the week’s top performer on the field.
