HUNTINGDON — The Clearfield Area High School girls tennis team travelled to Huntingdon on Thursday for a Mountain League match against the Lady Bearcats.
The Lady Bison were turned away 7-0 by their hosts.
Clearfield MAY host their first match in three years on Monday September 10 when they host District 9 rival Punxsutawney.
Singles Results:
1. Yesh Patel (clfd) lost to Summer Kyser (h) 1-6, 1-6.
2. Lauren Witmer (clfd) lost to Aly Kratzer (h) 4-6, 1-6.
3. Rayanna Kavelak (clfd) lost to Abby Snare (h) 0-6, 0-6.
4. Rachael Johnson (clfd) lost to Katie Gipe (h) 3-6, 1-6.
5. Abbi Welker (clfd) lost to Leah Mitchell (h) 1-6, 2-6.
Doubles Results:
1. Patel/Witmer (clfd) lost in a pro set match to Jasmine Weyant/Snare (h) 3-8.
2. Johnson/Kavealk (clfd) lost in a proset match that was setteled in a tie breaker to Gipe/Annie Oswald (h) 8-9 (5-7).
