CLEARFIELD – Northwest Savings Bank Commercial Lending Officer, Joseph Kelly and Senior Vice President, Central West District Manager Gigi Gearhart presented a $1,500 contribution for this year to the Clearfield Revitalization Corp., (CRC). Main Street Manager Kellie Truman was presented with the contribution.
Northwest Savings Bank is a founding contributor to the CRC, as they have pledged a total of $7,500 over five years. For a community to be accepted into the Main Street Program, the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) requires a local match of contributions to fund the five-year Main Street grant. After five years, it is then up to the community to fully self-sustain the Main Street Program fully by local contributions. The CRC’s Main Street Program is currently in its fourth year of existence and is currently planning for sustainability.
“The CRC is sincerely thankful for Northwest Savings Bank contribution,” said Truman. “This is the fourth year of support, and with their help, it is possible for Clearfield to continue to be a Main Street community to implement revitalization programs into downtown using the Main Street Four-Point Approach: Promotion, Design, Economic Restructuring and Organization. The CRC is deeply appreciative that Northwest Savings Bank supports our revitalization efforts and believes in the betterment of Clearfield.”
Truman added that it has also been a pleasure to work more closely with Kelly, as he volunteers on two of the Main Street Program’s committees – Promotion and Economic Restructuring. She said the CRC is very appreciative of his dedication and belief in Clearfield.
The CRC is a 501(c)3 non-profit charity. For more information, please contact Truman at 765-6000.
