Lucy P. Marino, 91 of Clearfield died Monday, Aug. 27, 2012 at the Sycamore Glen Retirement Center, Miamisburg, OH. She was born Feb. 21, 1921, a daughter of the late Philip and Anna (Loddo) Marra.

Mrs. Marino retired in 1985 from the Department of Public Welfare after 35 years of service. Previously, she was employed by the former Clearfield Sportswear for 10 years.

She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield; the Rosary and Altar Society; the Senior Citizen League; the RSVP Clearfield; the ASCME Retiree Chapter 13; and the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging. She also enjoyed her involvement with the CAST.

She is survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James L. ‘Jimmie’ Marino on Jan. 25, 2010 and whom she wed Feb. 10, 1959 in Clearfield.

She was also preceded in death by a three sisters, Anna Tylwalk, Catherine Alleman and Pauline Porto and four brothers, James, Dominic, Peter and Philip Marra.

A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the St. Timothy Catholic Church, Curwensville with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee Jr. as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield.

The rosary will be recited at 4:45 p.m. and a Christian Vigil service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Saint Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 South Front St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
