No injuries Reported after Single-vehicle Accident in Snyder Township

SNYDER TOWNSHIP – No injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident at 12:42 p.m. Friday on Walburn Run Road in Snyder Township, the DuBois-based state police reported.

Jamie L. Baker, 20, of Falls Creek was traveling southbound and negotiating a right-hand curve. He lost control of his vehicle because he was traveling too fast through the curve.

As a result, his vehicle traveled off the roadway and onto the east berm, where it ultimately struck a utility pole, shearing it off. His vehicle came to a rest partially on the roadway, facing south in the northbound lane.

Neither Baker nor his 15-year-old passenger was injured in the accident. Both were wearing their seatbelts. Baker will be cited for the accident.

State police were assisted by the Brockway Volunteer Fire Department.
