WORTH TOWNSHIP – No injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident at 6:20 a.m. Wednesday on Eagle Valley Road in Worth Township, the Philipsburg-based state police reported.
Christopher J. Maurer, 19, of Ashville was traveling northbound when he fell asleep. His vehicle traveled across the southbound lane and exited the roadway.
The Maurer vehicle continued in a northwest direction through a grassy area. It crossed a gravel driveway and continued through another grassy area, where it struck a large shrub. Then, the Maurer vehicle continued through the grass before impacting a large tree.
Maurer was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. He was not injured. He was cited for careless driving.
