Obituary Notice: Gale M. Kruse

Gale M. Kruse, 67, of DuBois died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 at the home of her daughter in Choctaw, OK.

She was born Sept. 24, 1944 in Clearfield, the daughter of Joseph Shook and Emma Irene (Freeman) Marsh Sr.

Mrs. Kruse graduated from the Clearfield Area High School in the class of 1962.

She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church of Clearfield. She was employed by the DuBois Area School District and started out as a teacher’s aide but retired as a secretary from the Highland Street Elementary School in 2006.

She is survived by her husband, John Martin Kruse of DuBois, whom she married June 22, 1963 at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church; a son, John Edward Kruse and his wife, Angela of Mechanicsburg and a daughter, Julie Ann Kruse of Choctaw, OK.

Also surviving are two grandchildren, Colton R.J. Kruse and Kelsey R. Kruse, both of Palmyra; four sisters, Jean Billotte and her husband, Donald; Jackie Harmic and her husband, Robert; Nancy Long and her husband, Pete and Doris Mullen, all of Clearfield; and a longtime friend, Sophia.

Mrs. Kruse was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Evelyn Collins and Mildred Miller and a brother, Joseph S. Marsh Jr.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the

Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 1010 Dorey St., Clearfield, PA 16830 with the Rev. Mark Brower officiating. Burial will be in the Friends Cemetery, Grampian.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield.
