Police Seeking Information about I-80 Hit-and-run

BRADFORD TOWNSHIP – The Clearfield-based state police investigated a hit-and-run accident that occurred at 8:35 p.m. Friday along Interstate 80 at mile marker 127 in Bradford Township.

A vehicle believed to be a U-Haul box truck was traveling eastbound in the left-hand lane. John Colasuonno, 43, of McDonough, GA was traveling eastbound in his tractor-trailer in the right-hand lane. The box truck was passing the Colasuonno tractor-trailer.

For unknown reasons, the box truck swerved into the right-hand lane and struck the left-hand side of the Colasuonno tractor-trailer. At that point, Colasuonno began to slow down to pull over. But he continued traveling eastbound when he noticed the box truck had accelerated and wasn’t stopping.

Colasuonno wasn’t injured in the accident. He was wearing his seatbelt. His tractor-trailer sustained minor damage. The believed U-Haul box truck is pulling a dark-colored sports utility vehicle on a tow dolly.
