Kylertown Community Festival Set for Saturday

KYLERTOWN – The Kylertown Community Festival will be held Saturday, Aug. 18. The event is open to community members who are welcome to “come early and stay late.”

Activities will begin at 9 a.m. with a whiffle ball tournament. The concession stand will also be open throughout the day along with a bake sale, children’s games, a Chinese auction and 50/50 drawing, a flea market, etc. Musical entertainment will be scheduled throughout the day.

The day will conclude with the band Heavenbound preforming at 6 p.m. The detailed schedule of events is:

9 a.m.: Whiffle Ball Tournament

9 a.m. – 5 p.m.: Flea Market

9 a.m. – 6 p.m.: Concession Stand/Bake Sale

10 a.m. – 5 p.m.: Chinese Auction

10:30 a.m.: Sawdust Pile for Kids (12 and Under)

11 a.m. – 4 p.m.: Children’s Games

11 a.m.: Horseback Rides for Kids

11 a.m.: Music by Jason Wood

1 p.m.: Karaoke Contest

2 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.: Quarter Bingo

5 p.m.: 50/50 and Chinese Auction Drawings

6 p.m.: Music by Heavenbound

The Kylertown Community Association uses the proceeds raised from the festival for a variety of community projects. The association helps maintain the Kylertown Athletic Fields, which is the home of the Kylertown Little League Baseball program. The funds raised directly affect the association’s ability to maintain and improve the facilities.
