Carole (Stewart) Ryen Bezilla, 74, of Woodland died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012 at Windy Hill Village in Philipsburg.
Mrs. Bezilla was born to the late W. John and Jayne (Williams) Stewart on Sept. 12, 1937 in Philipsburg. She married William G. Bezilla on May 24, 1997 in Osceola Mills.
Mrs. Bezilla was a member of the Gethsemane United Church in Allport.
She retired in 1998 from Windy Hill Village as a licensed practical nurse. She was also employed by the former General Cigar in Philipsburg, Piper Aircraft in Quehanna and State College Manor.
She graduated from the former Osceola Mills High School in the class of 1955 and from the Clearfield Vocational Technical School in 1984.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bezilla was preceded in death by her former husband, John D. “Jack” Ryen; two sisters, Audrey Louise Stewart and Darla Koppenhaver; and a son, Steven Stewart.
She’s survived by five children, Shelia Sidelinger and her husband, Geoffrey of Weedville, Shelly Thompson and her husband, Gregory of Pine Glen, Stacey Koziar and her husband, Brian of Barre, VT, Victoria Gatto and her husband, Robert of Ellwood City; and Vincent Ryen and his wife, Wanda of Allport and three step-children, Dean Ryen and his wife, Bessie of Woodland and Brett Bezilla and his wife, Brenda and Stacey Bezilla, all of Indiana.
Also surviving are three brothers, Roger Stewart and his wife, Gloria of Osceola Mills, Dean Stewart and his wife, Bonnie of Jonestown and Mark Stewart and his wife, Sue of (Zion) Bellefonte; a sister, Debra Bauman and her husband, Roger of Morrisdale; 21 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Gethsemane United Methodist Church in Allport, with the Rev. Heather Baker-McCallister and the Rev. Dr. Mary Jo Bruinooge officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service Friday at the church.
