Dale M. Leach, 84, of Pleasant Valley died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012 at his home.
Born Feb. 27, 1928, he was the son of the late Norman Leach and Gertrude (Catchpole) Leach.
Mr. Leach was a proud member of Battery A of the 426th division of the U.S. Army stationed in Germany from 1950 until 1952. He was also a member of Garfield Lodge #559 and the Free and Accepted Masons and the Coudersport Consistery.
He was sole proprietor of Leach Electric where he served the DuBois and surrounding areas for more than 40 years.
He was a member of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church and occasionally attended the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church where he was formally a long-time member.
Mr. Leach enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing in Ontario Canada, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
He’s survived by his wife, Patricia J. (Pierce) Leach to whom he’s been married for 57 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Tammy (Michael) Richko of DuBois and Tina (Charles) Peterson of Williamsport; his brother, Harold Leach of DuBois; two sisters, Norma Nelson of Reynoldsville and Alma Zorger of Grampian; and five grandchildren, Matthew and Ryan Ferut and Charlie, Brittany and Michael Peterson.
His sister, Irene Leach, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m.– 9 p.m. Monday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home in DuBois.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Full military honors will be accorded from the funeral home by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
Burial will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park in Reynoldsville.
