Kylertown/I- 80 Eastbound Bridge Work Update

Expect delays on Friday

CLEARFIELD – Bridge replacement work on eastbound Interstate 80 near the Kylertown/133 interchange will bring travel delays Friday.

The eastbound Kylertown bridges, which date from the original build of I-80, are being replaced this year. PennDOT replaced the westbound bridges in 2011.

Drivers should expect eastbound delays as crews set concrete box beams on the structure that spans Route 2037 (Winburne Road). On Friday, rolling roadblocks will be in effect from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. from the eastbound Woodland interchange (Exit 123) to the eastbound Kylertown interchange (Exit 133). Pennsylvania State Police will be on site to enhance safety through the work zone.

Drivers on Route 2037 will experience significant delays Friday, as traffic will be stopped during beam-setting operations. Route 2037 drivers should remain alert for flaggers along the road and proceed with caution.

Updated information on the project is available on message boards and through the Highway Advisory Radio System at 1640 on the AM radio dial. Eastbound traffic is reduced to a single lane through the work area.

Work to replace the I-80 eastbound bridges at the Kylertown interchange will continue through the end of the year. All work is weather and schedule dependent. Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. is the contractor on this $10 million project.
