Curwensville Man Accused of Assaulting Pregnant Woman

CURWENSVILLE – A 19-year-old Curwensville man, Dylan J. Pollick, has been accused of assaulting a 22-year-old, pregnant Curwensville woman at approximately 12:05 a.m. Tuesday in Curwensville, the Clearfield-based state police reported.

Pollick and the victim were engaged in a verbal altercation, which escalated and turned physical. The accused allegedly grabbed the victim by her arms and threw her to the floor. Then, Pollick allegedly jumped on top of her, while she was on the floor.

During the scuffle, the victim sustained a bruised right shin. She also complained about pain in her abdominal area, where she had allegedly been kneed by Pollick. The victim is currently 3 months pregnant.

She was transported from the scene via ambulance to theClearfieldHospitalfor a medical evaluation.

At approximately 3 a.m., Pollick was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment before the magisterial district judge in Kylertown. His bail was set at $25,000 with his preliminary hearing being set for Aug. 15.
