Leno A. Serafini Sr., 86, of DuBois died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012 at his daughter’s home inTreasureLake.
He was born June 15, 1926 inCardiffto Joseph and Teresa (Calliari) Serafini.
He was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Navy.
He was married to Josephine (Ogiba) Serafini for 32 years. She preceded him in death June 1, 1992. He then married Mary (Reed) Serafini. She preceded him in death Dec. 25, 2005.
He retired from Keystone Carbon Company in St. Marys after 40 years of service. He was active with Dad’s Horseshoe Club. He loved to hunt, fish and garden.
He was active in many clubs in the DuBois area.
He’s survived by his children, Leno A. Serafini Jr. and his wife, Gale of Harrisburg; Stanley W. Serafini of Fairfield, CA; Robert P. Serafini and his wife, Edna and Christine S. Serafini, all of St. Marys; and Theresa S. Vida of DuBois; a sister, Agnes Winkler of Penfield; a brother, Irvin Serafini of Kersey; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Paul and Sophie Serafini; one sister, Mabel Riccadonna; and one brother, Guido Serafini.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Catherine Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.
