Obituary Notice: Dorothy J. (Bungo) Kropinsky

Dorothy J. (Bungo) Kropinsky, 76, of Smithmill, died Sunday, August 5, 2012 at her residence.

She was born Aug. 16, 1935, in Janesville, a daughter of the late Stephen and Nancy (Chetlewicz) Bungo.  She was a 1954 graduate of the former Madera High School and was employed as a stamper at the former Denol Bookbinding Co. of Philipsburg for 20 years.

She also was a homemaker.

Mrs. Kropinsky was a parishioner of Christ The King Catholic Church of Houtzdale.

She married Steve P. Kropinsky in the former St. Barbara’s Catholic Church, Houtzdale. He survives at home in Smithmill.

She’s also survived by two brothers, Metro “Mitch” Bungo and his wife, Chris of Harrisburg and Frank Bungo and his wife, Alice of Mentor, OH and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Kay Fensore, Helen Brennan, Mary Rogers and Anne Kushner and two brothers, Wasco “Chuck” Bungo and Mike Bungo.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 8:30 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Kruise Funeral Home Inc., Ramey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Christ The King Catholic Church, Houtzdale, with Fr. Stanley J. Swacha as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery Ramey.
