Judith E. “Judy” Russell, 69, of DuBois died Friday, Aug. 3, 2012 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center – Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
She was born Sept. 3, 1942 to the late John and Eileen (Reilly) Dixon.
She retired from Bethphage Mission. She had previously worked for Goodwill Industries. She was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church.
She was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed going to the City Park every night and watching the Little League games. She enjoyed bowling for many years, crafts and camping.
Ms. Russell was a member of the American Legion Post 17 Ladies Auxiliary.
She’s survived by three daughters, Kathy McClintock of Mausry, OH, Mary Smith of Reynoldsville and Wendy DeLaney and her husband, Michael of Jacksonville, FL; a son, Dave Russell of DuBois; a brother, John Dixon and his wife, Beatrice of Sabula; a sister, Constance Burch of Hilton Head, SC; and six grandchildren.
There will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Lakeside United Methodist Church with Pastor Ellen Bullock officiating.
For the memorial service, the family will be wearing Steelers attire. The family encourages those who are attending the service to do the same if they wish.
