DUBOIS – The DuBois Business College held its 127th commencement exercises Friday at the DuBois Area Middle School Auditorium.

Instructors Wes Carnahan and Brenda Heschke led the processional of graduates into the auditorium and Lisa Doty, director of marketing, gave the invocation. Carolyn Rhoades, DBC board member and instructor, was the master of ceremonies for the evening.

Jackie Diehl Syktich, president and chief executive officer of the DBC, greeted the graduates and shared memories with them during her president’s address.  She reminded them of their orientation, the tests they studied for and the excitement of passing a certification test.

Syktich shared that she, too, is a graduate of the DBC. She encouraged them to reach for the stars while they travel through their chosen career path.  She noted that when she began as a student at DBC, she never dreamed that she would one day be the president and CEO of her alma mater.
