H. Vaughn “Von” Raybuck, 86, of DuBois died Monday, July 30, 2012 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 28, 1925 in Poland, OH, he was the son of the late Lester H. and Laura (Hamilton) Raybuck.
He was a veteran of World War II at which time he served in the U.S. Marine Corps, 2nd Marine Division in the Pacific Theatre.
Mr. Raybuck retired from a lifelong career in automotive-related sales positions. He was a member of the St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church in Falls Creek, where he and his wife were very active in church activities. He enjoyed exercising and was an avid Penn State fan.
He was married to Elaine (Calvert) Raybuck. She preceded him in death. On July 5, 1965, he married Mary I. (Borrelli) Raybuck. She survives.
Mr. Raybuck is survived by a son, Dennis V. Raybuck and his wife, Becky of DuBois; a step-son, Jim Roff and his wife, Fran of Rochester, NY; and a step-daughter, Rose Marie Martone of Columbus, OH.
Also surviving are two sisters, Peg Kirk of Phoenix, AZ and Isabelle Leshok of Sykesville; one brother, Donald Raybuck of DuBois; three grandchildren, Danielle Erdley, Michael Raybuck and Kimberly Raybuck; two step grandchildren, Matthew and Michael Martone; one great-grandchild, Elena Erdley and two step-great grandchildren, Vincent and Weston Martone.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack, Wilson, and Alexander Raybuck and one sister, Donna Kohler.
There will be visitation from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Fr. Rick Tomasone officiating. Burial will be in St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
