JONES TOWNSHIP – Minor injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident at 4:13 p.m. Friday on Rasselas Road in Jones Township, the Ridgway-based state police reported.
Vickie D. Dunton, 46, of Wilcox was traveling eastbound when her blazer’s right side wheels exited the roadway while negotiating a curve on the same side. Her blazer reentered the roadway and crossed over, exiting the left-hand side of Rasselas Road.
At that point, her blazer started to ascend an embankment, and it began to overturn. The blazer’s left-hand front corner impacted a tree, as it overturned in a clockwise direction. It came to a rest on the north side of the roadway.
Dunton was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident. She was cited for driving vehicle at a safe speed and driving without a license. Police were assisted by Wilcox Fire and Ambulance.
