Woman Flown to Geisinger after Assault Incident

BOGGS TOWNSHIP – The investigation continues into an aggravated assault incident that resulted in a 38-year-old Bellefonte woman being flown to the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

The alleged incident occurred sometime between 11 p.m. Saturday and 12:30 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Yarnell and Circle roads in Boggs Township. The woman’s injuries didn’t appear to be life-threatening, according to the Philipsburg-based state police.

The woman was discovered lying on the roadway. She had numerous lacerations on her body, state police said. The woman advised she was last at her residence at 11 p.m., where she’d gone to sleep.

Then, the woman recalled waking up inside a vehicle with an unknown man and woman. She was allegedly kicked out of the vehicle. She was disoriented but made it to the location where she was discovered.
