RUSH TOWNSHIP – No injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident at 10:30 a.m. Friday along state Route 350 approximately 1.1 miles south of Fire Tower Road in Rush Township, the Philipsburg-based state police reported.
Lynne Jo Peters, 53, of Port Allegany was traveling southbound on SR 350 and negotiating a sharp, right-hand curve. She lost control of her pick-up truck due to wet roadway conditions.
At that point, her truck slid sideways in a clockwise motion. It traveled off the roadway onto the western berm. Her truck then struck an embankment with its left side before coming to a rest.
Peters was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident. She’ll be cited for the accident.
