CLEARFIELD – A man accused of molesting a 13-year-old girl was granted a continuance on Wednesday.
Jason G. Dixon of Houtzdale faces charges of statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, criminal attempt to commit statutory sexual assault and related charges.
According to court records, on May 30, Dixon met the girl through her friend. They began texting later that evening. On May 31, the girl went to his residence, where he reportedly kissed her, undressed her, and attempted to have sex with her. The affidavit states that she stopped him, saying “she couldn’t do this.” She then got dressed and left.
On June 5, Dixon reportedly admitted to sexual acts with the girl, knowing she was 13.
His hearing is continued until Aug. 1 at 10 .m. His bail was set at $50,000 straight.
