Dolores E. Barac, 84 of Treasure Lake in DuBois died Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the DuBois Village. Born July 1, 1928 in Agana, Guam, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Trinadad (Aguon) Flores.
On Jan. 21, 1950, she married John “Sarge” Barac. He survives. Along with her husband, she owned Sid’s Sub Shop at the corner of Long and Main Street in DuBois for many years.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and active in the annual St. Michael Polish Festival.
She was a beautician, seamstress and enjoyed being an artist. She loved to play BINGO and enjoyed cooking.
Mrs. Barac was a prisoner of war during the Japanese occupation of the Island of Guam.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 12 brothers and sisters and five infant children.
There will be no public visitation.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Fr. David Foradori as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery.
