Police Report: STPD

July 13, 2012

A DuBois woman reported that someone called her house stating they needed to confirm her Social Security number.  Sandy Township Police would like to remind residents that you should never give your personal information over the phone to unknown individuals.

A Treasure Lake resident reported someone took a picnic table valued at $200.

Employees of Ponderosa reported that a white woman, approximately 5’5”, 180 pounds with red hair entered the restaurant and ordered two kids meals, and paid for them with a $50 bill.  After the cashier gave her the correct change the woman turned around, stuck two $20 bills in her pocket, then returned to the cashier stating she did not get the right change.  The investigation continues.

A 23 year old Reynoldsville man pulled his vehicle from a parking space in the Walmart parking lot and witnesses reported he seemed to loose consciousness causing him to accelerate, hit two vehicles, then hit the building.   The man was transported to DRMC.  No other injuries reported.  Investigation continues.

A West Liberty resident turned over a black dog over to police after he found it wandering around near Johnson Motors.

Someone broke out a rear window at Central Catholic High School.

A 30 year old man was walking to the bar at the Clarion Motel when he attempted to break up a fight in the parking lot.  When he intervened a 25 year old DuBois man involved in the fight attacked him and then fled the scene.

July 14, 2012

DUI charges are pending against a 27 year old Texas man after he was pulled over for running a patrol vehicle off the road.  After failing field sobriety tests he was transported to DRMC for a legal blood draw, then to CCJ where he was housed on a 48 hour commitment.

A passer by reported hearing small children screaming in a Treasure Lake house.  Upon investigation officers found a 17 year old babysitting smaller children and they had been roughhousing.

A false alarm was reported at Bon Ton

July 15, 2012

A 53 year old Arizona woman was seen soliciting money in the Walmart parking lot.  Officers handled the situation without incident.

Someone forced open the front door of Rosio Coal and Trucking on South Brady Street.  Nothing appeared to be missing.

A Clearfield woman reported that her car was hit, causing minor damage, in the Walmart parking lot.

An Old Woods Road resident reported a neighbor was having a party and the noise was bothering him.  Officers investigated and found the noise was not unreasonable.

A false alarm was reported at a Treasure Lake residence

A White Pine Roadwoman reported a neighbor’s dog attacked and injured her dog.  The investigation continues.
