LUMBER CITY – No injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident at 10:30 p.m. Friday on the Lumber City Highway in New Washington Borough, the Clearfield-based state police reported.
James R. Hopkins, 33, of Curwensville was traveling westbound when he lost control after a mechanical malfunction with his vehicle. The Hopkins vehicle subsequently traveled across the eastbound lane, coming to a rest in the ditch between the roadway and railroad tracks. Hopkins was wearing his seatbelt.
After further investigation, Hopkins was determined to be driving under the influence. No further information was provided in the report.
