Leah Matthews Stormer, 90 of DuBois, PA died on July 7, 2012 at Christ the King Manor.
Leah was born on Oct. 5, 1921 to Florence Weaver and Luke Matthews. Leah married the love of her life, William “Bill” Stormer on May 29, 1943, and together they began their life journey that lasted 34 years. She and her husband worked side-by side operating Stormer’s Market in Reynoldsville. Leah moved to Treasure Lake in 1996 to live beside her granddaughter and great-grandchildren, where she most enjoyed her role as “Gram” and she will be greatly missed by all.
Leah is survived by one son, William Stormer and his wife, Debra of Stafford, VA and three daughters, Janet Huston and her husband, Larry of Dania Beach, FL, Barbara Moriarta and her husband, Web of State College, PA, and Irene “Sug” Shenkle and her husband, Mike of DuBois, PA, 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be held on July 12 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. from the Goble Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on July 13 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with Pastor David Bish officiating.
Burial will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park.
