Clearfield–St Francis Knights of Columbus Pack 9, Boy Scout Crossover Ceremony was held at St Francis Elementary School , Clearfield with a record number of boys moving from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. Each Scout received a walking stick to use on the path through Scouting.
All Scouts received the Arrow of Light award, the highest honor that can be earned in Cub Scouting, demonstrating a scouts’ understanding of many of the Cub Scout principles. Cub Scouts who earn the Arrow of Light take key steps in transitioning into Boy Scouts, and the award marks their journey. Cub Scouts who earn the Arrow of Light award can wear the badge on their Boy Scout uniform, which demonstrates their understanding of many of the principles of scouting.
The ceremony serves as a way to mark that transition from Cub to Boy Scout.
