Two Men Arrested after Traffic Stop in Patton Township

PATTON TOWNSHIP – Two men were apprehended for numerous crimes after their vehicle was stopped at approximately 1:30 a.m. Monday on Interstate 99 in Patton Township by the Philipsburg-based state police.

Ronald C. Morton, 30, of Williamsport, was apprehended after police confirmed an active warrant out of Wilkes-Barre. He has been accused of being a fugitive from justice and also faces numerous drug offenses. State police discovered a half-ounce of crack cocaine, a bag of marijuana, a digital scale and other drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

In addition, his passenger, Parrish Andrew Rawles, 26, of Altoona, is facing numerous drug offenses. He’s been accused of providing false identification to police for giving them a false name and birth date.

Both accused are currently in the Centre County Prison, where they’re awaiting arraignment. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
