The Anderson Creek Sportsmen’s Club has announced its plans for a “Kids Fish for Fun” derby from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 28. The event will be held at 976 Viaduct Road, Rockton.
The derby is open to any child who is accompanied by an adult. It will be a catch and release day of fishing for bluegill, perch and large-mouth bass.
Prizes will be award to the youngest boy/girl who catches a fish, the biggest fish and heaviest fish. Other prizes will also be awarded.
The club will be providing free hot dogs, chips and drinks. The derby is free and is open to children who are 12 years and younger.
