William T. Dunsmore, 81 of Philipsburg and formerly of Hollidaysburg, passed away on June 20, 2012 at his residence.
Born Oct. 12, 1930 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Robert H. & Grace A. (Ashcroft) Dunsmore.
On July 23, 1956 in Manassas, VA, he wed Betty Jane “Mitzie” (Goss) Dunsmore, who passed away Dec. 8, 2009

Stewart M. Dunsmore of Philipsburg

Joey Bean and Ashleigh Bean
And several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers: Robert M. “Mac” Dunsmore and Harry A. Dunsmore; half-brothers: Gordon Dunsmore and Marion “Boots” Dunsmore; sisters: Alice Brand and Jean Taylor and half-sister: Margaret Dunsmore.
He was a 1948 graduate of Philipsburg High School and of the Protestant Faith. He retired from the US Navy and served during the Korean & Vietnam Wars. He was a member of the American Legion John Ashley Dennis Jr. Post 437, BPO Elk Lodge # 1173 and VFW Louis P. Jenkins Post 3450, all of Philipsburg.
A Memorial Service will be held at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, on June 27 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark Thumma officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Moshannon Valley Independent Honor Guard at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Philipsburg Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on June 27 from 1:30 p.m. until the hour of service at 2 pm.
