Police Report: STPD

June 18, 2012

A 19-year-old Ridgway woman stopped at the flashing red light at Shaffer Road and Bee Line Highway, then pulled into the intersection into the path of vehicle driven by a 73-year-old Coudersport man that she didn’t see.  The two vehicles collided causing severe damage.  A passenger in the Coudersport man’s vehicle was taken to DRMC for evaluation.

A vehicle driven by a 30-year-old Valier woman pulled from the stop sign at Midway Drive and Commons Drive into the path of a vehicle driven by a 25-year-old Johnsonburg woman causing the two to collide.  No injuries reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene.

Officers received a report of four males shooting a BB gun from a truck into the woods in the area of White Pine Road.  The truck was gone upon officers arrival.

A Verizon Wireless employee reported that someone took 20 feet of copper wire, a copper bus bar and eight copper lugs from a cell tower site on Giles Road.  The value of the copper is approximately $800.

A truck driver was swinging around his truck when he over shot and struck another truck that was parked in the rear lot of Pilot.  Minor damage and no injuries were reported.

Officers were flagged down by a 25-year-old Curwensville woman on Rich Highway who reported an assault.  It was found that the woman had chased down two women in another vehicle and struck two women in the vehicle.  The dispute was over money and all involved will be charged.

A 28-year-old Reynoldsville man gave officers false information on his identity while being investigated for a disturbance on Rich Highway.  The man later confessed to officers.  Charges for false reports to law enforcement will be filed.

A 33-year-old West Long Avenue woman reported being harassed by her 33-year-old ex-boyfriend.  Officers handled the situation without incident.

A 25-year-old DuBois woman was seen by Wal-Mart employees attempting to take $324.63 worth of merchandise without paying for it.  Charges will be filed.

A vehicle driven by an 87-year-old Falls Creek man rearended a vehicle driven by a 46-year-old Reynoldsville woman at the intersection of 12th Street and Maple Avenue.

A 14-year-old girl reported that her mother’s 36-year-old estranged boyfriend was harassing her and her mother and physically assaulted them both.  Officers handled the situation without incident.

Officers received a report of a man threatening patrons of the Blinker Sheetz.  The man was attempting to start situations with various patrons and when one asked him to leave him alone, the man threatened to shoot him.  Officers searched the area but could not locate the man.
