Borough Parks to be Posted Tobacco Free

CLEARFIELD – At the request of a citizen, parks in Clearfield Borough will be posted “Tobacco Free.”

The topic came up during last night’s Clearfield Borough Council committees meeting. Council member Jim Kling noted the borough had an ordinance to such an effect, and that the parks should be posted. Council member Fred Wisor indicated the signs should read “Tobacco Free”, as it was his recollection that’s what the ordinance referred too.

It was also indicated by a member of council that the ordinance referred to all borough property.
