Obituary Notice: John J. “Jeep” Zatsick

John J. “Jeep” Zatsick, 58, of DuBois died Friday, June 8 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center – Montifore Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born Jan. 2, 1954, he was the son of Alex “Zulu” and Helen (Karoleski) Zatsick.  His mother survives and lives in DuBois.

Mr. Zatsick worked at Rockwell International Manufacturing for many years.

He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.  He was a member of the Polish Citizens Club, the Penfield Fireman’s Club, the Olympic Athletic Club and the Sykesville Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 4454.

He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Penn State fan; he especially liked tailgating at the Penn State games.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  They were his pride and joy.

He is survived by his children, Greg Zatsick and his wife, Jacki and Allison Zatsick and a sister, Mrs. Gary (Alexis J.) Stetz, all of DuBois; a brother, Daniel S. Zatsick and his wife, Nancy of Sewell, N.J.; and two grandchildren, Kourtney and Brayden Zatsick.

He was preceded in death by his father and two infant twin sisters, Evelyn and Mary Zatsick.

Visitation will be held from 2 – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. -8 pm. Monday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.

A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday from the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Fr. David Foradori as celebrant.

Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery.
