CLEARFIELD – A Celebration of Life service for Dr. Gregory S. Sheffo is planned for June 11, beginning at 6 p.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield. The non-denominational service will be hosted by Clearfield Hospital and is open to the community. The Rev. J. Robert Mellgard, a hospital chaplain, will officiate. Dr. James P. Davidson will provide the welcome on behalf of the St. Francis Parish.
Dr. Sheffo died May 27, 2012, in Clearfield.
Dr. Sheffo was a pediatrician at the Clearfield Center for Children’s Care. He also served as president of the Clearfield Hospital Medical Staff.
For the last three years, after receiving his Master’s Degree in Medical Management from the University of Texas at Dallas, he served as both pediatrician and chief medical officer o f Clearfield Hospital.
Funeral services and burial took place in Bentleyville, Pa., on June 6.
