Fugitive Surrenders to Authorities

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Holly Wolf, age 23, of DuBois.

Wolf was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on May 21, 2012.

On Nov. 14, 2011, Officer Josh Johnston of the Sandy Township Police Department, filed a criminal complaint charging Wolf with: 1) acquisition of a controlled substance by fraud, forgery or deception, F, 2 counts; 2) possession of a controlled substance, M, 2 counts; and 3) theft by deception, M3, 2 counts.

An affidavit of probable cause filed by Johnston states that in March 2011, the Sandy Township Police Department received a report of two instances of fraudulent acquisition of controlled substances from a pharmacy in Sandy Township. Upon investigation it was found that on two occasions Wolf has used a fictitious name to obtain prescriptions that had been prescribed to another person.

A preliminary hearing was held on Dec. 16, 2011, at which time all charges were held to court. On May 17, 2012,  Wolf failed to appear for criminal call and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Shaw stated that on May 21, 2012, Wolf voluntarily surrendered herself to Officers from the DuBois City Police Department. Wolf is currently lodged in the Clearfield County jail.

Shaw thanked the DuBois City Police Department for their assistance with this case.
