Police Report: STPD

May 11, 2012 

A Tozier Avenue resident reported that someone hit and damaged her vehicle that was parked in front of her house.

A 26-year-old Ridgway man was caught by Walmart employees trying to take two bottles of cologne without paying for them.  Retail theft charges were filed.

A 52-year-old man reported that his ex-wife has been fraudulently using his health insurance information. The investigation continues.

A false alarm was reported at Perkins

Officers received a report of a barking dog at a Wilson Avenue residence.  Officers spoke to the dogs owner and handled the situation without incident.

May 12, 2012

A false alarm was reported at Burger King

A 19-year-old woman reported being assaulted by a known 15-year-old boy outside her residence. The investigation continues.

Officers received a report of 3 people trying to enter a Murtland Avenue residence.  Officers located the individuals attempting to leave the scene.  Investigation continues.

A 60-year-old Treasure Lake man was pulling out of a parking space at Lowe’s when he hit a parked vehicle that was parked next to him.  Minor damage to both vehicles and no injuries reported.

A false alarm was reported at Dollar General on South Brady Street.

May 13, 2012

A 50-year-old Treasure Lake woman reported that her estranged son-in-law caused a disturbance by yelling at her while she was at the DuBois Mall.

A 31-year-old Sylvan Heights woman reported that a known woman was harassing her via text message.  Officers contacted the offending party and handled the situation without incident.

Employees of Joann Fabrics reported that a woman came into the store, put two floor lamps in her cart and walked out without paying for them.

A false alarm at Dollar General on South Brady Street.
