The Animal Welfare Council will be holding its annual yard sale and plant sale from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on May 4 and May 5 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Allegheny Spay & Neuter Clinic located at 1937 Daisy St. in Clearfield.

Many assorted items will be for sale and all proceeds will benefit animals in this area.  This year there will be more plants available including both flowering plants and shrubs – both perennials and annuals – just in time for Mother’s Day and spring time planting.

There will also be food available at the sale.  Anyone wanting to make donations of gently used and clean items or plants for the yard sale may contact the numbers listed below for arrangements.  All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible.  The Animal Welfare Council is a non-profit 501c3 organization.

The Allegheny Spay & Neuter Clinic provides low-cost spaying and neutering of companion animals, plus Frontline Flea & Tick Medication is available in addition to micro- chipping, Clearfield County Dog License,  and rabies, distemper and Lyme’s vaccines.

There will also be a rabies clinic at the Allegheny Spay & Neuter Clinic from 10-12:00 on Saturday in conjunction with the yard sale.  Dr John Thomas will be administering the vaccine and the cost is $10.00/animal.  For more information about the yard sale/plant sale, the rabies clinic or the Allegheny Spay & Neuter Clinic, call 768-3500, 592-4469 or 592-7407.
