Obituary Notice: Henry M. Knepp

Henry Monroe Knepp 90, of Curwensville passed away April 21, 2012 at Ridgeview Elder Care Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy illness.

Born June 21, 1921 in Curwensville he was the son of John W. and Hazel (Rowles) Knepp. He was a United States Veteran serving during both WWII and Korean Conflict.

On May 14, 1943 in Curwensville he wed the former Sarah “Sally” Eckert who preceded him in death on March 1, 1999.  He was also preceded in death by his parents, a brother Jack Knepp and a sister Alberta Lines

He retired from Clearfield Cheese Company.   He was a member of the Curwensville United Methodist Church, and former member of Curwensville VFW and American Legion, Clearfield Elks Lodge BPOE #540, Curwensville Lions Club, F&AM Noble Lodge #480, and Jaffa Shrine.

He is survived by a daughter Doris Creps and her husband William of Elizabeth City, NC. Grandson Iain Douglas Creps and his wife Halie of Suffolk, VA. 2 Great Granddaughters Campbell Creps and Colbie Creps, a sister Peggy Blackburn and  her husband Tom of Curwensville, and his Dear Friend and Companion Esther Shaw of Grampian.

A public memorial service for Mr. Knepp will be held at the Curwensville United Methodist Church on April 28 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Robert Ludrowsky officiating.  Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.

Friends will be received at the Church on April 28  from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Curwensville United Methodist Church  602 State Street Curwensville, PA 16833, or the Curwensville Alumni Association 650 Beech Street Curwensville, PA 16833.
