STATE COLLEGE – The state police at Rockview have announced a sobriety checkpoint initiative that will take place in Centre County within the coming weeks.
Motorists that encounter a checkpoint will be stopped briefly, according to police. When there is an indication that a driver has consumed alcohol or controlled substances or committed any other violation of the law, the driver may be further detained.
Police said the primary emphasis on the initiative will be on driving under the influence, but all laws will be enforced.
